The Weaving Space provides a platform for visitors to discover local artisan weaving crafts and explore weaving technique with the inclusive of delicious local cuisine dining located at Kuala Lumpur. This project aims to promote local artisan weaving crafts to public with a platform located at a concentrated commercial paradise, BB Market, Bukit Bintang to raise recognition among public and increase the appreciation towards local crafts.
Concept
The concept is inspired from the craftsmanship of Malaysian weavers who are constantly creating decency woven products in the industry. The concept element is referred from the weaving process that produces endless gaps to form a complete weave. Crossings in a piece of weave form rhombus shapes in between the strips.

Concept : The Space Between
In The Weaving Space, the space in between woven strips symbolise as a bridge to help the weavers to reach out to the public. The relationship between the weaving gap and interior space is connected through circulation, the transitional spaces which is directional like walkway. The concept element is developed into a combination of the form and circulation. Both of the weaving gap and circulation acts the pause between spaces to create inspiring moments.
Design Strategy:
To develop detailed design proposals and extend the design concept through an understanding and exploration of materials, manufacturing assembly and construction, graphic and function, and application of technology through design ideas.
